June 2022:

 

  • Nelmari Ruiz Otero joins the lab as a postdoctoral fellow.

 

  • Dr. Banerjee invited to speak at the American Diabetes Association annual scientific meeting in New Orleans Session on “Revisiting Beta-cell Function in Pregnancy” June 4th, 2022.

July 2021: 

The Banerjee Lab moves to the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

May 2021:

  • A clinical case report by Dr. Banerjee and colleagues describing a patient with severe deficiency of vitamin D and vitamin D binding protein is accepted at the Journal of the Endocrine Society

April 2020: Dr. Banerjee is awarded an R01 from the NIDDK

May 2019 

  • Prolactin Receptor Signaling Regulates a Pregnancy-Specific Transcriptional Program in Mouse Islet.  published in Endocrinology   (see Publications tab for link)

January 2019: Dr. Banerjee is awarded a Junior Faculty Development Award from the American Diabetes Association!

March 2019 

  • Eric Stokes admitted to multiple graduate schools, matriculates with University of Colorado, Denver.  Congrats, Eric!

  • Mark Pepin presents poster on PRLR regulation of pregnancy transcriptome at ENDO2019 meeting in New Orleans, LA.

February 2019 Boshell Diabetes Day at Auburn University

  • Eric Stokes' poster "Genetically characterizing the expression patterns of pancreatic β-cell sub-populations during pregnancy" wins 2nd place in the graduate student competition. 

  • Mark Pepin presented a short talk about our collaborative project with the Wende and Hunter labs (UAB) involving transcriptional regulation of gestational β-cell adaptation by PRLR signaling.
